Born in Tokyo August 22, 1907, Yoshida Rindō (born Yoshida Kimata) studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Kimura Yūsai. He received his Shihan in 1961. Director of the Kinko-ryu Association, and permanent director of the Chikusen-kai and Rinko-kai as well as head of the Chikushi-kai. His shakuhachi career spanned more than 40 years.
