Christophe « Kazan » (歌山) Gaston is a shihan of the Shin-Tozan Ryû. He learnt shakuhachi under the guidance of Sôzan Chiaki Kariya, chair person of the french branch. He also studies the Kinko Ryû repertoire in the style of Yamaguchi Goro (Chikumeisha) with Gunnar Jinmei Linder. Besides his interest in all forms of honkyokus he regularly performs with the koto player Akari Sagara and with jazz and contemporary musicians. He is the contact person of the Chikumeisha french lesson center in France and the main organizer of the workshop series driven by Gunnar Linder in France. Facebook: Kazan Shakuhachi
