Yamazaki Rifū (Yamazaki Toshio) was born March 11, 1900 in Kitakyushu City. He studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Yoshida Seifū. He was Vice-chairman of Seifū-kai. He performed and taught shakuhachi for more than 50 years.
