Satō Jōkan

Satō Jōgan was originally from Kyushu. He started studying with Jin Nyodo in Kyushu and later came to Tokyo to study from Jin, for a while actually living in Jin's home. He became his principle student, and when Jin became ill in his last years, Satō Jōgan took over Jin's lessons, teaching on his behalf.
