David is a beginner (2024), with no musical background, who lives in New Mexico, USA. Current practice is learning Hitoyogiri in the Shin Sosa Ryū with Nick Hoko Bellando. He is exploring Suizen, blowing Zen while simply being present, relaxed, alert, and non-judgmental. Inspired by Perry Yung and Ken LaCosse (1960-2019), his 2024 project is to make a PVC shakuhachi... and investigate Nelson Zink's question: "Does PVC have Buddha nature?"
