Born March 23, 1910 in Tokyo, Kajitani Taidō (Kajitani Nobuchi) spent more than 40 years playing Kinko-ryū shakuhachi. He started teaching in 1931. He was the chairman of the Chōyū-kai and a councilor of the Nihon Sankyoku Kyōkai.
