Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Mizawa Taiki studied shakuhachi under Sugawara Kuniyoshi. He graduated from the Department of Japanese Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. He performed in the stage production of "Salome" starring Shinoi Eisuke, participated in the recording of "Saraiya Goyo" (Fuji TV), and Kobayashi Sara's "Poetry of Japan". Participated in outreach projects organized by the Kumamoto Prefectural Theater and Iwaki Arts and Culture Exchange Center Arios, as well as "Shakuhachi x Sopranista" with sopranista Kimura Yuichi.
