With music we create an environment. Pitch relationships, tone colors, rhythms, and dynamics work together in a special atmosphere of calm and storm, silence and sound. New techniques developed by John Kaizan Neptune - such as fingering combinations employing 3:2 rhythmic ratios-are utilized. Instruments: 1.8. and 2.3 shakuhachi, hyoshigi (wooden clappers), uchiwadaiko (membrane drums), bowl-shaped gongs, various bells and wind chimes. | |||||
