Mori Rōzan (Mori Yoshitoshi) was born March 3, 1913 in Kagoshima Prefecture. He studied Tozan-ryū shakuhachi under Hirayama Shizan. He started teaching in 1948. Awarded by the Makurazaki City Board of Education in 1952. He was a member of the Kagoshima Branch of the Tozan-ryū Shakuhachi Gaku-kai.
