I am a perpetual student enjoying what each new practice brings. As a veteran with PTSD I find playing is outstanding therapy. Currently I am trying to see if any vet groups would be interested in using Japanese music in therapy. My day job is as a graduate school professor. Seeing the "aha" moments is my primary motivation. Our family consists of my wonderful wife and three lovely daughters. The oldest is in the Peace Corp and the younger siblings are looking at careers in medicine. We also have a very sweet extended family of four dogs and a conure. Sometimes my feathered friend "comments" on my playing.
